On 18 May 2026, CEGS hosted a panel discussion on “Time Use Data, Labour Force Participation, and Right to the City: Lessons for and from Pakistan”, in the Ibn-e-Khaldun Hall, Department of Sociology, QAU.

The event brought together international gender experts associated with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and Pakistani academics working on the intersections of gender, the economy, and social policy.

The four panelists were Dr. Hema Swaminathan (ADB), Dr. Bimbika Sijapati Basnett (ADB), Dr. Zainab Latif (Tabadlab), and Dr. Saba Gul Khattak (Independent Researcher). The panelists’ presentations were followed by a lively and engaged discussion from the floor.

Senior economist, Dr. Aliya Khan, and researchers from other institutions were also present and participated actively in the discussion, along with CEGS students and faculty members.
