Scholarships and Financial Assistances

KHALIDA ANEES MERIT SCHOLARSHIP as per following terms and conditions.

  • Only Regular female students of BS of any semester can apply
  • The CGPA must be 2.5 or above
  • The scholarship will cover QAU and Centre dues of the semester of the selected candidate.
  • The selected candidate will not be allowed to apply for any other scholarship of the QAU or the Centre.
  • The decision of the financial committee to award the scholarship will be final and binding.
  • The scholarship will be awarded on merit among those who qualify on the basis of financial need. The evidence of financial need will be provided by the students.

According to QAU rules, merit scholarships are awarded to BS Students in each semester as per following details:


1st Position = Rs. 15000/-
2nd Position = Rs. 12000/-
3rd Position = Rs. 8000/-

The Centre allocates funds from its recurring grant to award Financial Assistance / Need based scholarships for the needy BS students in every financial year. The Finance Committee of the Centre assess the students on their need requirements and academic performance. The committee includes Manager Financial Assistance, QAU as an expert.

SHAESTA & NASEEM CHAUDHRY merit scholarship as per following terms and conditions.

  • Only regular female students of BS 2nd and 4th semester are allowed to apply.
  • The CGPA in 1st / 3rd semester must be 3.0 or above.
  • The scholarship will cover all dues including hostel dues of selected candidate till 8th semester.
  • The selected candidate will not be allowed to apply for any other scholarship of the QAU or the Centre.
  • the decision of the financial committee to award the scholarship will be final and binding.
  • the scholarship will be awarded on merit among those who qualify on the basis of financial need. The evidence of financial need will be provided by the students.

Through Individual Financial Assistance (Education), PBM supports poor, deserving, and brilliant students enrolled in public-sector educational and technical institutions with education stipends for completing their studies.

Assistance is provided only to regular/merit-based students in government institutes. Self-financed or private institute students, and children of government employees, are ineligible.

The Vice Chancellor QAU Dr. Zafar Nawaz Jaspal visited the Centre of Excellence in Gender Studies, QAU Islamabad for the distribution of Scholarship cheques among selected students. While addressing the students, Dr. Jaspal expressed his appreciation for the Centre and emphasized the significance of such scholarship programs. He highlighted the importance of hard work, dedication, and academic excellence.

The Director CEGS, Dr. Aisha Anees Malik, shared that nearly 40 percent of the Centre’s student body has been nominated for financial assistance under various scholarship and support programs. She briefed that the Financial Assistance Committee of the Centre, after a comprehensive evaluation and thorough assessment of all applicants, unanimously approved the name of Ms. Sonain Abid, student of BS-Gender Studies 2nd Semester, for the prestigious Shaesta and Naseem Chaudhry Merit Scholarship.

Similarly, Ms. Batool Zahra (Hidayat), student of BS Gender Studies 4th Semester, has been selected for the Khalida Anees Merit Scholarship.The initiative reflects the Centre’s strong commitment to provide quality education and extending maximum possible support to needy and deserving students.
